Latest Updates

Our next bargaining session with the union is scheduled for May 17 and 18, 2022. We will have additional updates to share at that time.

Background

In December negotiation teams began working toward a new labor contract between the American Falls facility and the union. To date, we have met with the union and its negotiating committee for more than 70 hours across 11 bargaining sessions, and remain willing and available to meet as often and for as long as it takes to reach an agreement. In addition, as part of our efforts to reach an agreement with the union, we have requested third-party mediation to assist with negotiations. Our requests for mediation to date have been declined by the union.

We reached a tentative agreement on Feb. 10, 2022, that was taken to union membership for a vote. Members voted not to accept the agreement. We are working with the Union to address any specific concerns that may have led to this outcome.

The Lamb Weston team is continuing negotiations with the union in American Falls and hopes to reach an agreement soon.
