Tomato Basil Sauce



  • Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup carrot, minced
  • 2 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 28 oz. (wt.) tomatoes, crushed
  • 1 each large fresh basil sprig
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • To Taste salt and pepper


Heat olive oil in saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and carrot and cook until soft. Add crushed tomatoes, basil and chicken stock and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
